Introduction
Here's a smart mental maths trick to square numbers that fall just after a multiple of 50 — like 51², 152², 357², 658², and so on. The beauty of this pattern is that it extends to any series ending with digits 1-9 where the leading part is a multiple of 5. In other words, this trick works beautifully for numbers in the range 51² to 59², 151² to 159², 251² to 259², 351² to 359², and so on.
